Ukrainian authorities have declared the commencement of mass production for an innovative locally engineered interceptor drone to reinforce its air defences. Three initial manufacturers have started production, with an additional eleven preparing to set up assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials stated on Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Battlefield Conditions

These UAVs will be based on a nationally created technology called “Octopus” designed to intercept Iranian-made drones. This technology underwent testing in combat and demonstrated successful “at night, amid electronic warfare and at low altitudes,” the ministry stated. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established an ambitious goal of producing as many as 1,000 interceptors each day.

Latest Attack on Kyiv Characterized as Deliberate

Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized Russia’s latest attack on Ukraine as “deliberate, premeditated and brutal” after six people lost their lives and many others injured in a wave of night-time strikes across Kyiv. Zelenskyy Schedules Visit to Spain

The Ukrainian leader will visit the city of Madrid, the Spanish capital, on Tuesday to meet with parliament members following his visit to Paris, the chamber of deputies announced. Zelenskyy will convene with deputies from all houses of the legislature throughout his stay, an official announcement confirmed.
