2K Recruits Apex Legends Producer to Revitalize Challenged Action Game Ambitious Title

The renowned publisher has welcomed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to direct the development team at 31st Union, which is currently crafting the upcoming over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as Project Ethos.

Leadership Shift Comes After Mixed Feedback

The new appointee assumes the leadership position at 31st Union following the departure of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' disappointing early showing last autumn.

Recently, 2K president a key figure notified staff about this decision through an internal memo, which stressed that playtesting had revealed the need for a clearer game identity.

Ismailer noted that the developers is now refining the project with a refreshed approach, aiming to satisfy player expectations.

The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve progressed. You embraced the input to mind and reimagined the title with a revitalized direction - one that’s positioned to achieve its ambition to our fans.

The trust in Project ETHOS strengthens every day. To further the incredible development you’ve made, It is a pleasure to welcome the new hire as the latest Lead of 31st Union. Following a period of discussions, Ben officially joins us on the specified date.

Ben’s guidance and background in the competitive gaming space is considerable, having devoted the past decade and a half creating and overseeing some of the most well-known franchises in gaming, such as the acclaimed shooter, and most recently, the battle royale hit.
